About Our Practice in Calgary

Dr. Tim Begalke was born in Saskatoon and raised in Camrose, Alberta as well as Grande Prairie. He studied at the Grande Prairie Regional College and the University of Alberta, receiving his BSc in Biology in 1993. Dr. Begalke then attended the University of Manitoba where he received his DMD degree in 1998. He has been practicing dentistry at Country Hills Dental Centre since early 1999.

Dr. Begalke and his team pride themselves on providing quality dental care in a comfortable environment for all their patients. We believe treating patients like family is paramount to success.

Over the years, Dr. Begalke has continued to train in several aspects of the profession. He maintains current membership with the Calgary and District Dental Society and the Alberta and Canadian Dental Associations. He has attended the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, the Misch International Implant Institute in Toronto, and the Alberta Dental Implant Academy in Calgary.

Dr. Begalke has also been certified by the University of Alberta to provide minor cosmetic and TMD treatments with Botox and Xeomin neuromodulator therapies. Dr. Begalke also provides treatment for sleep apnea and snoring.

Dr. Begalke and his wife, Carla, a dental hygienist at Country Hills Dental Centre, have 2 daughters and 1 son. His outside interests include skiing, hockey, golf, mountain biking, and travel. Keeping fit has always been important to Dr. Begalke, and running is a regular part of his regimen. He is currently trying his hand at triathlons. Dr. Begalke holds his Private Pilots License and is currently on Cessna 172s, typically flying out of the Calgary Flying Club at Springbank Airport.

Dr. Begalke has volunteered with Kindness in Action, a non-profit organization that provides free dental care to impoverished regions of Central and South America. This is a rewarding experience for both patients and volunteers!

Dr. Jamie Wallace was born in Edmonton and raised in Calgary. He received his Bachelor of Science in cellular, molecular, and microbial biology from the University of Calgary. He then attended the University of Manitoba, where he obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine in 1997. Upon graduation, he returned to Calgary to practice Dentistry. Dr. Wallace has been practicing at Country Hills Dental Centre since January 2000.

To stay current with the latest innovations in the rapidly changing dental field, Dr. Wallace has attended the Spear Institute, the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, the Institute for Dental Education and Advanced Dental Surgeries, and numerous study clubs, where he has further enhanced his knowledge and passion for dentistry, most specifically in the areas of esthetic and implant dentistry.

Dr. Wallace has modern training in treating sleep apnea and snoring. He is passionate about the impact poor sleep has on quality of life and has studied with several leading researchers in the area, using the latest in dental appliance technology.

Dr. Wallace has also received certification through the University of Alberta to provide Botox therapy for temporomandibular joint disorders (TMJ) and cosmetic treatments of the face. Dr. Wallace maintains membership with the Calgary and District Dental Society, Alberta Dental Association, and Canadian Dental Association.

Along with other members of Country Hills Dental Centre, Dr. Wallace volunteers with a non-profit organization, Kindness in Action, which provides free dental care to people in developing countries.

Dr. Wallace and his wife, Kim, have 2 daughters and a son. When not busy with work and family, Dr. Wallace enjoys travelling, skiing, golfing, and spending time at the lake.

Dr. Jeremy Wallace was born and raised in Calgary and pursued undergraduate studies in biological sciences at the University of Calgary. After 3 years of study, he was accepted into the Doctor of Dental Surgery program at the University of Alberta. Upon graduation, Jeremy returned to Calgary to practice dentistry at clinics downtown and in Strathmore. Dr. Wallace joined Country Hills Dental in 2010.

Dr. Wallace provides a wide range of dental services, including crowns, composite fillings, veneers, tooth removal, root canal therapy, TMJ appliances, and Invisalign clear aligner therapy.

In addition, Dr. Wallace is able to provide at-home sleep studies to diagnose sleep apnea. Based on the information provided by the study, the best treatment option can be determined and, when appropriate, Dr. Wallace can fabricate an appliance to help treat snoring and sleep apnea. If desired, these procedures can be provided with oral conscious sedation to reduce patient anxiety.

As a dental student, Dr. Wallace volunteered for dental missions to Guatemala and Honduras with the group Kindness in Action. In an effort to continue to give back to the dental community, Dr. Wallace was chair of a SAIT advisory committee for the dental assisting program.

Jeremy spends his free time with his wife Lori, son Charlie, and dog Gus. As an avid sports fan, Jeremy does his best not to hurt himself while playing football, basketball, tennis, golf, and snowboarding. Typically, these activities are followed by long stints on the couch with healthy doses of anti-inflammatories.

Dr. Tarnjit (“TJ”) Sahota was born in England and moved to Calgary when he was 8 years old. Growing up in northeast Calgary allowed Dr. Sahota to explore and develop his interests, including a keen interest in basketball. After playing basketball in junior high school, Dr. Sahota decided it was time to focus on his studies, which eventually led him to the University of Calgary, where he studied biochemistry. He then moved to Edmonton to attend the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Alberta, where he received his dental training. It was there that he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery. 

Dr. Sahota has been practicing in Calgary ever since and can now claim over 20 years of experience as a dentist, although he is somewhat astounded that this amount of time has passed.

Dr. Sahota believes in taking the time necessary to provide each patient with the best dental care possible. His calm and caring manner, paired with his years of experience, creates a relaxed and comfortable environment for his patients. Dr. Sahota is also fluent in Punjabi.

Dr. Sahota stays up to date on dentistry by attending various dental courses, seminars, and conferences. He is a member of the Calgary District Dental Society, the Alberta Dental Association and College, and the Canadian Dental Association. Dr. Sahota provides an array of dental services, including crowns and bridges, implant crowns, veneers, composite fillings, root canal therapy, tooth removal, and splint therapy.

Outside the office, Dr. Sahota is kept busy with his wife and children, as well as his latest home renovation project. Dr. Sahota loves to spend family time outdoors whenever possible, hiking, biking, running, and walking very slowly. His other interests include old-school movies, which his wife and children do not fully appreciate, and car maintenance, which his children/apprentices also do not fully appreciate. And he still plays basketball, occasionally feeling the wind of the Michael Jordan glory days catch his sails.

Dr. Stephanie Wallace, BSc, DDS, is a distinguished graduate of the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry at Western University, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. She graduated with the Gold Medal, awarded to the top-performing student across all four years of dental school, and received numerous academic achievement and scholarship awards in recognition of her outstanding performance.

Prior to dental school, Dr. Wallace completed her Bachelor of Science in Cellular, Molecular, and Microbial Biology at the University of Calgary. Her strong foundation in biomedical sciences and her commitment to clinical excellence have shaped her into a compassionate, detail-oriented, and evidence-based practitioner.

Dr. Stephanie is passionate about providing comprehensive, patient-centered care and is committed to continuous learning and professional growth. Her dedication to excellence, both in academics and in patient care, sets a high standard in the field of dentistry.

Dr. Stephanie is excited to be working alongside her father, Dr. Jamie and Uncle, Dr. Jeremy.

In her spare time, Dr. Stephanie enjoys spending time with her family, exercising, hiking, and traveling.
