At Country Hills Dental, we’re here to make the insurance process as easy as possible. We offer direct billing to most insurance providers, helping you avoid the hassle of submitting claims yourself. To confirm whether your insurance plan qualifies for direct billing, please contact your insurance provider or reach out to our office.

We follow the Alberta Dental Fee Guide for transparent, fair pricing. Additionally, we offer extended hours on Mondays and Tuesdays until 7:00 PM, so you can find a convenient time to visit.

Understanding Your Insurance Coverage

Your dental insurance plan is arranged between your employer and the insurer, and it’s important to understand that we don’t have control over the coverage decisions.

To avoid surprises, we recommend reviewing your policy or contacting your insurer to clarify which treatments are covered. If you’re unsure about a recommended treatment plan, we’ll happily explain it so you can make an informed choice that’s best for your oral health.

Why Treatment Costs May Differ from Insurance Coverage

Every treatment plan is tailored to meet your specific dental needs, but insurance coverage is typically standardized across policyholders. This means your insurance may not cover 100% of treatment costs.

Keep in mind that most plans include annual limits on coverage for dental work, cleanings, and exams. Once that limit is reached, you’ll be responsible for any remaining costs until the new fiscal year.

Authorization for Major Dental Work

For major dental procedures, most insurance companies require pre-authorization to monitor and control costs. We’ll provide you with an estimated treatment cost before any major work begins.

While you can choose to proceed with treatment before we receive authorization, please note that you’ll be responsible for the full cost if your insurer denies coverage.
